IDC's Bank Financial Quarterly analyzes and ranks the quality of all commercial banks reporting to the FDIC and bank holding companies reporting to the Federal Reserve. Every quarter since 1985, we have assessed each institution's strengths and weaknesses using our proprietary "CAMEL" analysis. The Bank Financial Quarterly is an invaluable diagnostic tool and reference for financial professionals.
The Bank Financial Quarterly identifies several financial ratios, assigns a weight factor to each based on its relative importance to the health of the institution, and then combines the overall view into a numeric summary rating. Ratings range from 1 (the lowest) to 300 (the highest). Our publication includes instructions for calculating a rating so the subscriber can see how each ratio impacts the bank safety rating.
Our publication on banks is over 400 pages in length! Independent banks and bank holding companies are listed alphabetically, by state, with bank subsidiaries grouped together under the bank holding company which allows the subscriber to view the quality and measure risks of the parent relative to the subsidiary.. We include a bank holding company subsidiary directory and a directory of publicly traded banks and bank holding companies. Informative comparisons, peer group listings, and other special reports are also provided.
The Bank Financial Quarterly is available in print and database formats on a subscription (4 quarters) and single-issue basis.
